Tre'von competes primarily in USPSA but has expanded into two-gun and PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine) matches. He has won several state championships, with his proudest accomplishment being his performance at the World Championship—maintaining sharp mental focus for four of the five days despite a challenging season.
He trains about five days a week, shooting around 250 rounds per live-fire session while also dry firing daily to refine specific skills. He emphasizes both speed and accuracy, with his biggest strength being movement mechanics and aggressive, efficient transitions. His advice to new shooters is to focus on personal progress rather than classifications or comparison to others.
Tre'von competes with a CZ Shadow 2 handgun and runs Excalibur ammunition. A unique part of his routine is always competing while listening to music through Beats or AirPods Pro. Outside of shooting, he enjoys MMA, wrestling, sparring, and spending time with his five-year-old daughter—who already shares his enthusiasm for the shooting range.
As a member of Team Blacksmith, Tre'von values the camaraderie and team spirit, describing himself as a “silent killer” who leads by example. He encourages newcomers to join the sport as long as they can be safe and reliably hit targets at 15 yards.
